Pretty Spanish towns from Valencia to La Manga
The Costa Blanca extends 170 miles along Spain's Mediterranean coastline from Valencia in the north to La Manga in the south. The "White Coast" is centred on Alicante, and its many wonderful family beaches are amongst the best in Spain.
The Costa Blanca coast has beautiful unspoilt Spanish villages and resorts and many excellent golf courses. Benidorm, Alicante and Valencia are superb shopping centres with boutiques, shopping malls and pedestrianised shopping areas, and more centres are being built along the coast.
Valencia also has world-class museums, science parks, an aquarium and many other attractions and places of historical interest. This third-largest city in Spain is also the venue for the 32nd Americas Cup in 2007.
Denia, Javea, Moraira, Calpe, Altea and Benidorm
All along this Spanish coast are many attractive resorts, from Denia in the north - an ancient and fascinating town at the foot of the Montgo mountain - through Javea, Moraira, Calpe, Altea and Benidorm to Alicante, and beyond to Guardamar and Torrevieja in the south.
These resorts have plenty to offer for the holiday maker in Spain, and most have a wide choice of rental accommodation near the beach and inland. For more information about each of our Spanish towns visit our information pages for Altea, Benidorm, Calpe, Denia, Javea and Moraira.
The Costa Blanca is famous for its major tourist resorts attracting millions of tourists to Spain every year. It has a rich cultural heritage with beautiful natural landscapes and fascinating towns. Leave the tourist resorts and you'll find the real Spain, with ancient towns and villages steeped in history and with stunning scenery. Towns where Spanish traditions and cultures continue today just as they did centuries ago.
The Jalon Valley and Wonderful Mountain Vistas
The northern Costa Blanca landscape is very attractive. The land is green all year round, in contrast to the south, and has wonderful mountain vistas. The pretty valleys such as the increasingly popular Jalon Valley are famous for their wine. The Costa Blanca countryside is one of Spain's most fertile regions, and is famous for the citrus trees that supply fruit worldwide and almond trees that blanket the ground with rich blossom.
Beaches, Sports, Theme Parks - and a great Nightlife
The region's beaches have been awarded 32 prestigious EEC Blue Flags for cleanliness - far more than any other Costa in Spain. And these superb beaches are ideal for young families, being gently shelving and sandy - many with play areas for children, and bars and restaurants for the adults. The best beaches are at Moraira, Javea, Calpe and Denia.
The area has become very popular for water sports, including skiing, sailing, jet-skiing, scuba-diving, snorkelling and wind surfing. The many world-class tourist attractions include the Terra Mitica theme and nature park in Benidorm, Europe's largest marine parks, many excellent safari parks and waterfalls.
So whether you are looking for nightlife or tranquillity, the region has something for everyone - from cosmopolitan towns where life goes on 24 hours a day to sleepy little villages where time seems to have passed them by.
Easy accessibility is assured with three two international airports, Alicante, Murcia and Valencia, and with the low cost of living and excellent international schools at affordable prices, the area is highly desirable to many northern Europeans who choose to live and holiday here.
The climate is excellent with annual average temperatures of 18 degrees C and low humidity.
